Where does NIH funding go?

Become involved with NIH by participating in public activities and events held throughout the country. Subscribe to the monthly bulletin to find out about events in your community, health and health education resources for the public, and newly released NIH publications.

Science Education for All Ages — The Office of Science Education coordinates science education activities at the NIH and develops and sponsors science education projects. These programs serve elementary, secondary, and college students and teachers and the public.

NIH plays a major role in finding better ways to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent diseases. NIH Research Matters is a review of NIH research from the Office of Communications and Public Liaison, Office of the Director, National Institutes of Health. To receive an email alert when new issues are posted, go to RESEARCHMATTERS LISTSERV or send an email to Listserv@list.nih.gov with the words “Subscribe NIHRESEARCHMATTERS-L” in the message body.

In NIH News in Health, you can read practical health information based on research conducted either by NIH's own scientists or by our grantees at universities and medical schools around the country.
